Cabin Rates
Description - Spend the night at
Lake Tahoe in your own private log cabin. Escape to the real
world of solitude. Enjoy a cool, crisp Sierra morning sipping
coffee on the deck surrounded by fragrant pines. These remote
private log cabins are beautiful Scandinavian style hand hewn
log cabins and are accessible by skiing or snowshoes in the
winter or by foot and bike in the summer. They are located
well out of sight from the great trails in the spectacular
Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park. Two cabins area available in
the back country which is home to the Famous Flume Trail.
We are sorry but due to wildlife, health, and allergy considerations,
pets are not allowed.
Spooner Lake Cabin - The Spooner Lake Cabin is approximately
three quarters of a mile from the Spooner Lake parking lot
on a knoll above the north side of Spooner Lake. This cabin
sleeps up to four adults and two children.

Wild Cat Cabin - The Wild Cat Cabin is approximately two and
half miles from the Spooner Lake parking lot on a rocky knoll with
a stunning view of Emerald Bay across Lake Tahoe. Accommodates two
comfortably and four snuggley.

Amenities
Your night at the cabin includes the following:
Queen sized bed and fold out double futon, quilts, and pillows.
Fully equipped kitchen with propane cooking stove.
Plastic eating utensils and paper plates and bowls.
Drinking Water (two gallons per day).
Coffee, tea, hot cocoa, and hot cider.
Wood heating stove and firewood.
Photovoltaic, oil lamps, and propane lights.
Each cabin equipped with an odor free composting toilet.
Summer Cabin guests need to provide their own sheets or
sleeping bag liners to sleep in.
There is no shower at either cabin. Water is very heavy to carry in
and gray water is hard to dispose of. Spit baths work well for a night or two.
Bring wash cloths and towels. There are wash basins at the cabins.
Grocery stores are located in Incline
11 miles away or Round Hill 9 miles away.

The $319 weekend rate includes:
$114 of trail passes.
$98 of ski rentals.

Trail passes for each cabin guest for each
day, rental skis or snow shoes for two and lessons.
Linens (sheets and pillow cases) are also provided in the
winter.
Ski Season Rates: (12/16/11 - 4/8/12)
For two adults:
$160 first night - $129 second night ($289 for two nights)
$319 for a weekend (Friday and Saturday nights - mandatory)
$30 extra per adult for a one day stay. (includes trail passes,
skis and lesson)
$50 extra per adult for a two day stay. (includes trail passes,
skis and lesson)
No discount for own equipment or not taking a lesson.
Winter rates include all of the above
plus:
Trail passes for each cabin guest for each day, rental skis
or snow shoes and lessons.
