Cabin Rates

Description - Spend the night at Lake Tahoe in your own private log cabin. Escape to the real world of solitude. Enjoy a cool, crisp Sierra morning sipping coffee on the deck surrounded by fragrant pines. These remote private log cabins are beautiful Scandinavian style hand hewn log cabins and are accessible by skiing or snowshoes in the winter or by foot and bike in the summer. They are located well out of sight from the great trails in the spectacular Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park. Two cabins area available in the back country which is home to the Famous Flume Trail. We are sorry but due to wildlife, health, and allergy considerations, pets are not allowed.

Spooner Lake Cabin - The Spooner Lake Cabin is approximately three quarters of a mile from the Spooner Lake parking lot on a knoll above the north side of Spooner Lake. This cabin sleeps up to four adults and two children.

Wild Cat Cabin - The Wild Cat Cabin is approximately two and half miles from the Spooner Lake parking lot on a rocky knoll with a stunning view of Emerald Bay across Lake Tahoe. Accommodates two comfortably and four snuggley.

Amenities
Your night at the cabin includes the following:
Queen sized bed and fold out double futon, quilts, and pillows.
Fully equipped kitchen with propane cooking stove.
Plastic eating utensils and paper plates and bowls.
Drinking Water (two gallons per day).
100% KONA coffee, tea, hot cocoa, and hot cider.
Wood heating stove and firewood.
Photovoltaic, oil lamps, and propane lights.
Each cabin equipped with an odor free composting toilet.
Summer Cabin guests need to provide their own sheets or sleeping bag liners to sleep in.

There is no shower at either cabin. Water is very heavy to carry in
and gray water is hard to dispose of. Spit baths work well for a night or two.
Bring wash cloths and towels. There are wash basins at the cabins.
Grocery stores are located in Incline
11 miles away or Round Hill 9 miles away.

Our cabin rates include ski trail passes, rental skis or snowshoes and ski lessons during the ski season.
The $319 weekend rate includes:
$114 of trail passes.
$98 of ski rentals.
$50 of ski lessons.
Your weekend cabin essentially costs $57!!
*Sorry NO discounts for brining your own skis or not taking a lesson.

Dirt Season Rates 2008 (4/01/08 - 11/30/08)
*(All rates are for two adults)
$95.00 per night for two, $69 for the second night.
$188.00 Friday and Saturday nights (Both Nights Mandatory: July - October).
$129.00 Single Friday night (April, May, June, and November).
$129.00 Single Saturday night (April, May, June, and November).
$275.00 July 4, 5 & 6 must be booked together at the time of reservation.
$15.00 per additional adult per night.


Snow Season Rates - Winter 2008/2009 (12/1/08 - 3/31/09)
*(All rates are for two adults)

Trail passes for each cabin guest for each day, rental skis or snow shoes for two and lessons.
Linens (sheets and pillow cases) are also provided in the winter.

Shoulder Season Rates: (11/1/08 - 12/1/08)
The deposit is $100 per night.
If we are open for skiing then the regular season rates apply and you can pay the difference when you arrive.
If we are not open then that is the rate per night.

Snow Season Rates: (12/1/08 - 3/31/09)
$160.00 for two adults, Sunday through Thursday nights, $129 for the second night.
$319.00 for a Friday and Saturday night, (Both Nights Mandatory).
$200.00 for a single Christmas Holiday Night, Sunday - Thursday only (12/24-1/4)
$350.00 for two Christmas Holiday Nights (12/24-1/4)
$500.00 for three Christmas Holiday Nights (12/24-1/4)
$448.00 for President's Day Weekend (2/13-2/15) all three nights mandatory.
$30.00 per additional adult, ski rentals and trail passes are included.
$50.00 per additional adult for a two night stay, ski rentals and trail passes are included.

Winter rates include all of the above plus:
Trail passes for each cabin guest for each day, rental skis or snow shoes and lessons.
Linens (sheets and pillow cases) are also provided in the winter.

Booking Information:
Dirt Season: full payment reserves a night.
Pre and post snow season: dirt season payment reserves a night.
*If ski area is open, trail pass charges will apply.

Cancellation policy
Late cancellations affect us significantly and leave us little time to fill the cabin.

  • Deposit less $25.00 refunded more than 21 days out..
  • Within 21 days NO REFUNDS. You may send someone in your place.
  • We will issue credit minus $50.00 if we can fill the cabin.
  • We are sorry but due to wildlife, health, and allergy considerations, pets are not allowed.
